My musical journey started at the age 10 when I began playing and singing in church and on the radio
every Sunday with my brother Myron and friend Oliver in Lancaster, CA.
Later in my high school days I further my talent as a member of a variety of rock and soul bands.
In 1978 I picked up my childhood roots and relocated to San Jose CA along with  my guitarist friend,
Oliver Harris and brother Myron Dove (played with Santana).  With me on drums and vocals along with
Oliver on guitar and vocals, our band the Tear Magnets, experienced considerable success and a
critically-acclaimed CD earning loyal fans worldwide.

Working with groups such as Ike & The Cold Bloods, Kaye Bohler, JC Smith, Pearl Alley, Red Archibald,
John Garcia, Johnny Nitro, Lara Price, Stan Erhart, Amy Lou Blues, John Lee Hooker Sr, Kid Andersen,
Mighty Mike Schermer, Curtis Lawson, Drake Levin, Daniel Castro and Johnny Fabulous.  Also sharing the
same stage with Chicago finest, Chico Banks, Pistol Pete, Willie big eyes Smith, Larry Williams, Sharon
Lewis, Bob Stroger and Little Chris. Also playing with the Pearl Alley Band and The Velvet Plum band the
past 11 years, with Lara Price, Brian Tucker, Stuart Hurton.
Opening for numerous bands such as Pete Esdovedo, War, Triumph, Ronnie Montrose,
Y & T, just to name a few. I still lead my own rhythm and blues band, DennisDoveBand.com or

He started playing at the age of 12 when Myron Dove (Dennis brother) showed him the chords to
a song he had written, he took it from there, learning popular songs off the radio and his older sister record
collection. He started playing in church and on the radio every Sunday. This encompassed everything from
rock to Motown, his diversification continued when Myron came home with a new genre called "jazz-rock"
which introduced him to the sounds of Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, and Stanley Clarke, soon followed by
Larry Carlton and Robben Ford. His love of these forms of music continues to this day, but he is generally a
pop music fan at heart. He has played in numerous cover bands including; "The Jive hounds" a Santa Cruz
based funk band,"Cover Story" with singer/songwriter Katy Clare,"Velvet Plum" with singer/songwriter Lara
Price and an early version of "
The Lara Price Blues Band" Dennis Dove on drums and Stuart Horton on guitar.  
Oliver has recorded and/or played with: Rick Latham, Tony Williams, Bernard Purdie,
Zigaboo Modeliste, Rodney Franklin, Tony Lindsay, John Wedemeyer,
Kevin Gilbert, Robert Ferris, Tim Bogert, Paul Gilbert, Jimmy Degrasso, Vernon Black ,
from jazz to rock to funk and loves music in general, it's always a pleasure working with him.
Pops has been playing music his whole life. Daycare was spent in a music store where his mother
returned to work after his father was sent abroad in the military. After a twenty year career in the
high tech computer industry, Mike entered the music world as a bass player and hasn't looked
back. Mike has been on the bay area music scene for over  15 years and has been hired by the
best in the business. Rusty Zinn, Andy Santana, John Nemeth, Chris "Kid" Andersen, Mighty Mike
Schermer ,R.J. Mischo, Bob Welsh, Steve Freund, and is currently a member of  the
Charlie Musselwhite Band. Mike continues to nurture other musicians by hosting a pro blues jam
in Sunnyvale (Murphy's Law), CA for the last 7 years

Franky Ramos started playing as a kid, with 50 yrs on the sax. The man is just bad' open for
Louis Prima in the late  sixty's & early seventy's & shared the same stages as Ray Charles
just to name a few. Great working with him.
Johnny Cat started playing guitar as a young man, the Blues made him famous with a lot
of well known bands. He plays a wide variety of styles ranging from jazz to rock to funk
and loves music in general. Great having him in the band!
